Therapist of the Month – Sindy Creen

December 16, 2014

I recently moved to Sydney and was fortunate to come upon Saltuary. On walking through the front door of the clinic I was in awe of the attention to detail that had been taken in creating an amazing healing environment. I was lucky to be invited to join the Saltuary family as a therapist in July. I feel privileged to have become part of a wonderful team and to be able to share in their values and mission for the community.” Personally I feel very privileged to have Sindy as part of the Saltuary family.. In fact I was quite nervous in waiting for her reply on whether she’d work with us or not! Thankfully she chose the former 🙂

Sindy moved to Australia in December 2005 from the UK and settled in Adelaide with her husband, who’d been offered a position with the ambulance service.  Sindy qualified in reflexology back in 1993 and quickly extended her skills to massage, aromatherapy and Bowen therapy. She’s incredibly passionate about treating holistically (hurrah for a place like Saltuary!) and about creating individualised treatment plans for clients.

My passion for complementary therapies came about whilst volunteering for the Shropshire and Mid Wales Hospice in Shrewsbury. I was introduced to aromatherapy by a practitioner and witnessed the amazing changes in the patients after using essential oils for gentle massage.

Practicing a number of different modalities allows Sindy to pick and choose which technique she feels are best for your needs and will give you the most benefit. Sindy’s ‘tool kit’ includes the techniques of myofascial release, craniosacral therapy (AMAZING may I add just quietly!), myofascial cupping, positional release therapy and foot correction. Now these words don’t have to mean much to you – but in the words of our clients, their end product reads something along the lines of:

Thank you for looking after not only my body, but my spirit as well. Sindy has the touch

Amazing – relaxing – like I’ve been thawed by the sun

Reflexology – WOW! That was an amazing experience. I can’t remember when I last felt so relaxed

Sindy works with us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and is covered by health funds. To book in a treatment, call us on 9713 8688 or email us at reception@saltuary.com.au
