What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncturists have been practising their system of healing for thousands of years. Effectively treating a wide variety of ailments, acupuncture can also be a wonderful tool for enhancing general health and wellbeing.
Acupuncture aims to balance the body’s energy lines, or meridians. This is achieved via the insertion of very fine needles into specific points in the body. It can be used effectively in both humans, and animals as well.
Acupuncture stimulates the body’s own inherent healing response. It aims to bring the body back into a state of harmony. A commonly experienced side effect of treatment, is a deep sense of calm and relaxation in the hours following.
Meet our Acupuncturists
At Saltuary, we now have 2 acupuncturists working with us! Paul Tang, who has been with us for many years, and Kathryn Smith who recently joined us at our Wentworth Point centre.
Paul has been practicing for over 25 years now, gaining an absolute wealth of experience along the way. Paul’s interest in acupuncture began when he saw how effectively it was used to treat a wide variety of health concerns. He was fascinated, and so began a very long and successful career!
Kathryn practices a Japanese style of acupuncture. A type of treatment with a focus on abdominal massage along with acupuncture. Kate (as we lovingly call her!) was drawn to her acupuncture as an alternative treatment that gently, yet potently encourages the body to heal itself. One of Kate’s passions includes using acupuncture for balanced moods, stress and fertility.
Acupuncture can benefit many different conditions, such as stress, fertility, gut health, skin health and improved immunity. It is suitable for the young right through to the elderly. To book in a session with Paul or Kate, click here..
