On Sunday, August 20th, Five Dock will come alive with the sounds and flavours of Italy during the annual Ferragosto Festival. The festival celebrates Italian and Sammarinese heritage and has been observed for centuries in Italy, marking a period of rest for growers and producers after weeks of hard labour. Fast forward a few hundred years and taking a break to rest and recharge is equally, if not more, important. At Saltuary, we’re all about helping Sydneysiders feel rejuvenated and more energised, which is why we’re so excited to be part of this festival.
Even better, Ferragosto will be right on our doorstep this year, with the festival returning to Great North Road for its 26th running in Sydney. Our friends at Juniper Organic Skin Care will also be joining in on the fun. The founder of Juniper Organic Skin Care herself, Jayne Shepherd, will be joining us on the day with her colleague Renee to offer skin diagnosis and incredible hand massages!
This unmissable annual event is a celebration of all things Italian, with more than 200 retailers enticing festivalgoers with everything from delicious street eats to handcrafted wares. To add to the atmosphere, there will be dance and musical performances across five stages, children’s rides and activities, and competitions for all the family to enjoy. Running from 10 am to 5 pm, the festival is set to attract thousands of attendees this year. It’s a massive street party you don’t want to miss!
