Stress less about your health

Feeling stressed? When you’re mentally drained, your body feels the strain. Naturopathy focuses upon your entire being, nurturing the mind, body and spirit. It’s a holistic form of healing; an all-natural way to soothe stress and relax the body. Book your initial consultation at Saltuary!

What is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is an ancient form of healing that treats you as an individual, not a medical condition. Naturopathy integrates a variety of natural therapies and remedies, bringing you to a balanced state of wellness.

Our Naturopath at Saltuary aims to educate you about your health and create a treatment plan tailored to your needs. After assessing your medical history, diet, lifestyle and home/work environment, Naturopaths may suggest remedies such as nutritional and herbal medicine, homeopathy, dietetics, and lifestyle/exercise plans. At Saltuary, you may be referred to another one of our therapists (e.g. Chiropractor, Acupuncturist etc.), enabling us to work as an entire team to achieve your health goals.

How does it work?

After your initial assessment, your Naturopath will guide you through the treatment process, with follow-up appointments every 2-4 weeks. The initial consultation takes up to 1 hour, and involves a detailed health history.

How does Naturopathy ease stress?

As Saltuary’s head Naturopath, Tiina Hogg, says, “Different stages of life, coupled with different states of health, emotions, experiences and other lifestyle decisions all merge to create our ‘whole’ being.”

So many different elements of ourselves and the lives we lead can cause stress. Whether it be an illness, unhealthy lifestyle habits, relationship problems, a demanding work environment (or all of the above!), Naturopathy aims to unify the mind, body and spirit. Several therapies and remedies are typically used in combination.

For example:

• Nutritional/dietary plans, supplements and herbal extracts can help to combat stress, aid weight loss or gain, correct any vitamin/mineral deficiencies, and enhance your state of health and wellbeing.
• Flower essences such as Rescue Remedy can be used to soothe stress, anxiety and insomnia. These are subtle, yet powerful remedies that can be used by adults and children alike.
• Calming complimentary treatments such as acupuncture and massage can help re-vitalise the entire self.
• Naturopathy can be safely used alongside prescribed medications under monitoring by a qualified therapist
