Why is spinal health important?

Did you know that your spine interconnects and protects many important internal systems, such as your central nervous system? The central nervous system controls the function of every single cell, tissue and organ in the body.

Additionally, the spine provides support for your head and neck. This is crucial, as your neck is involved in quick coordinating movements in day-to-day life. A healthy spine is vital for the central nervous system to function optimally via the spinal cord (which is housed within the spine).

A healthy spine, alongside a healthy nervous system, maintains and balances your overall health. Repeated physical stress, an accident or even psychological stress and lifestyle factors (such as poor nutrition and lack of exercise) can alter the spinal structure or spine. When this happens, your central nervous system becomes irritated, resulting in fatigue and potential illness.
